My In Nomine Writing
I spent eight years (1998-2006) being consumed by the role-playing game In Nomine, and a lot of my writing from that time was based on that RPG. (In fact, I've written a sourcebook for that RPG, Liber Umbrarum, focusing on the roles and mechanics of ghosts in the setting and rules.) Since then, I have, in large part, removed myself from the fandom, because it had mostly stopped being fun for me. However, I do still hold a soft spot in my heart for the game, and much of my best work over the last ten years has been the writing that was inspired by In Nomine.
Below is what I consider to be my best In Nomine writing. You can find more at my old LiveJournal, etherjammer.livejournal.com, which I will eventually be transferring over to this site as time and energy permit.
The ? Cycle
This is a series of vignettes that I wrote for the In Nomine Mailing List. They're plain text until I get around to HTMLing them.
These were also posted on the In Nomine Mailing List.
The ! Series is a set of vignettes intended to fill out and explain the events of the ? Cycle. This includes a lot of behind-the-scenes maneuvering, as well as certain events in Heaven while Haagenti is completing the prophecy in Hell. All stories in the ! Series will be labeled as such.
The ? Cycle (pronounced "What? Cycle") is concluded with "Walk On".

No tolerance for reading it in parts? Here's the whole thing.
Experiments
In Nomine Upside-Down: A look at Choirs and Bands.
Expanded Choir resonances. (Not Upside-Down.)
Characters
Various characters of my design.
- Grieg, Ofanite Angel of Specialists
- Zapan, Demon Prince of Ice. Zapan was the Superior
I created for the ? Cycle (see above). His statistics refer to the time directly following "Walk On".
- Makatiel, Demon Prince of Disease. This is the first of the historical Superiors I'm working on. He'll be revised as soon as I get the Disease rules from the Corporeal Player's Guide.
- Mariel, Demon Princess of Oblivion. This is Mariel as she was in her historical context (at least, as she was in my imagination), opposed to Gabriel (not Raphael); this version is not necessarily as she appears in the ? Cycle.
- Mariel, Demon Princess of Oblivion. This Mariel is more canonically correct, opposing Raphael (Archangel of Knowledge) rather than Gabriel.
Adventure Seeds
The name should be obvious: these aren't adventures proper, just the seeds for them. Plant with care.
- It is convenient. What if Michael was defeated during the Fall . . . and nobody knew about it?
- The House By The Sea: An old man and a young woman have been living together on the northern coast of Greenland for centuries - but nobody seems to know who they are...
Fiction
Odd vignettes and stories that don't have a place in any of the other sections.
